Here is a quick question for you “Could new iPhone 4G get the Apple iPad A4 chip?” or something similar. This is all down to if Apple releases the fourth generation iPhone first; there is no need to doubt they will not.

At the moment the iPhone 3GS has the ARM Cortex A8 CPUs and PowerVR SGX GPUs chips from Samsung, but today after the announcement of the all new iPad Apple has its very own chip called the A4.

Apple has always wanted its very own custom chip since they bought PA Semi (Palo Alto Semiconductor) and these chips will be used in all future products according to TiPB. It would be good though to use the Apple A4 or something similar for the next-gen iPhone.

What do you think, could new iPhone 4G get the Apple iPad A4 chip or something similar? Please vote below and let us know what you think.

Mmmm, Bacon

I’m popcorn obsessed. I eat popcorn for dinner. I devour the stale morning-after stuff with a soda for breakfast. I eschew the dry, over-salted cinema stuff with fake butter and bring my own stash.

So I’m always on the lookout for my next popfix. And boy did I find it.

Remember the patent battle between Nokia and Apple and Nokia went crying to the US International Trade Commission asking for them to investigate Apple? Well it looks like the battle is about to get bitter.

According to an article over on pcworld, the ITC has decided there is a case to grant Nokia’s request and is now investigating Apple over the alleged infringement of seven Nokia patents in virtually all Apple phones, which basically means the iPhone.

In a counter move against Nokia, Apple retaliated by lodging their own complaint with the US International Trade Commission, although at this time it appears that the ITC hasn’t yet granted Apple’s request.

The word is there is a timescale of 45 days for the ITC to bring the investigation to completion and once completed, 6 ITC law judges will make an initial decision on the case which will then be subject to a full commission review.

As gadget geeks get ready for an expected Apple reveal of its tablet, lets look at several other overyhyped tech products.

The Google Nexus One smartphone was released earlier this month but not without its 3G problems on the T-Mobile network, many complaints have come in but rest assured there is a fix coming soon.

Nexus One users have been reporting problems about 3G connections and indeed the lack of 3G connection on the device, Google and T-Mobile has said they are aware of this problem and was looking into it but hopefully the new fix will sort this issue out.

The main problem was down to a software error, this error was found in the smartphone’s 3G radio, which means there is not hardware problems, so a quick software fix will do the job. 3G speeds are pretty slow and this could be down to the T-Mobile small 3G footprint according to Mobile Guerilla.

As soon as Google has released the software update we will let you know, in the meantime if you have any complaints please let us know in the comments area below.
