The Motorola Milestone has just been released as a SIM free phone at around the same time as the mighty Google’s Nexus One.
Question is though just which one is the better of the two?. What advantages does the Motorola Milestone have over the Nexus One. The Motorola Milestone is otherwise known as the Motorola Droid which was first released in the US last year.
The New Android phone has been released as a SIM free handset with no network ties or ongoing line rental charges.
This is great for customers as it means no lengthy contract deals and your not tied to one network provider, instead use your existing SIM card and away you go. The biggest competitor to the Milestone is the Nexus One and it runs on a slightly newer version of Android 2.0.1 although it is rumoured that the Milestone may benefit from an upgrade soon.

Online maps, mobile phone donations, wikis and a slew of websites are being deployed as telecoms firms, technology giants and startups set aside their rivalries and put the latest tools to work to help earthquake-ravaged Haiti.
Google is learning that being a star contender in the smartphone arena takes more than a big name and well-crafted hardware. Nexus One has stumbled since its grand launch on January 5 as buyers grumble that there is nowhere to go but online for answers to complaints or questions.
Mobile phone company 02 is about to go full circle and challenge its former owner BT in the 9 billion a year landline market.
As Britain’s largest mobile network, owned by the Spanish company Telefonica, 02 plans to bundle home phone calls together with broadband packages from just £17 per month.
The move comes just over eight years after BT sold its mobile business which was at the time called Cellnet. The timing couldn’t be at a worse time for BT which has been struggling to carve out a very new business model after missing out on the mobile explosion.
02 claims that it will undercut similar phone call and broadband packages from BT by around £12 per month. Something that will be well received by customers is the fact that it will check that customers are not paying for download speeds that they cannot receive. It isn’t just BT that will be feeling hot under the collar as Virgin, Carphone Warehouse, Sky and Orange are all desperately trying to persuade customers to purchase their phone, internet and TV services from one place. Rumors suggest that we may actually see multitasking coming to the Platform, but what about the RAM.
The iPhone 2G and the iPhone 3G have an anaemic 128MB of RAM. The iPhone 3GS has 256MB which is the same amount as both the Palm Pre and the Motorola droid. Both of them do multitask but do get bogged down and sometimes have errors.
The Palm Pre Plus and Google’s Nexus One have upped the RAM to a beefy meaty 512MB of RAM. So okay what does this have to do with iPhone and multitasking?
Time and time again we have all seen that Apple would rather do without offering a feature at all than offer one with poor user experience.
Lets just assume for now that Apple gets better life for batteries in the 4th generation iPhone as well, unless they get more RAM it is tough to imagine them enabling multitasking suppose we’ll just have to wait and see. Source - theiphoneblog.com

The vast majority of the 4HD is the same as the 4 we reviewed last month.
But that’s not to say all. The 4HD lives up to its moniker by offering storage and playback of high-resolution audio files, up to 24/bit/192Khz on its 2 terabyte hard drive. More bits are always good. As are a few cool new features.
(PhysOrg.com) — A flaw was found in November in a key Internet protocol that encrypts most sensitive online transactions and communications, including credit card and banking transactions. A patch has now been developed by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), but it may take some time to be fully implemented.
